| Race interrupted twice because of accidents on the first two starts. The race was restarted for the third time with its original distance. Mansell, Piquet, Nakajima and Warwick, involved in the accidents, participated in the second start with their spare cars, but Suzuki and Donnelly, with no spare cars, did not participate in the second start. Pirro, who had problems with his car on the first start, participated in the second start with the spare car. After Barilla’s accident at the second start, Pirro returned to his original car, and Donnelly used Warwick’s repaired original car. | |||||||||||||
