| Stommelen was sick and was replaced by Posey. Van Lennep also practiced with the same car. Ickx entered with #4 and #32 (reserve), ended up participating in race with #32 (chassis 004). Andretti and Donohue participated in practice, but had to run at an USAC race, which was postponed because of the rain. Donohue was replaced by Hobbs at McLaren, and Andretti’s Ferrari entry ended up going to Barber with March, which was a reserve entry. | |||||||
