Gregory was initially entered by Cooper, but failed his medical examination and was replaced by McLaren. Although initially registered, Wilder’s car, which did not arrive on time, and Chimeri, who did not attend the event, did not have their numbers published in the official program (it is assumed they were 20 and 21, as these numbers were left vacant). Brabham and McLaren exchanged cars for the race.

Phil Cade did not start due to engine problems. Brabham and McLaren swapped their practice cars as Brabham’s car was having an obscure water problem.
