Michael Schumacher received a 10s stop and go for overtaking under the safety car. Claiming that the penalty was applied late, Ferrari only served the penalty on the final lap, with Schumacher crossing the finish line inside the pits and serving the penalty. The stewards then decided to apply the penalty of 10s added to the race time, but it was a penalty that didn’t fit the case, and finally they decided to withdraw the penalty. McLaren made a protest, but the FIA rejected it and kept the result without the application of the penalty.
