BRM made two applications, one for Flockhart and a second one was left open, maybe thinking about Leston. As Flockhart was injured and Leston was not convincing as a driver for the team, both entries were cancelled. Ferrari entered #22 for an F2 car, but that slot also ended up not being used. OSCA also entered De Tomaso for the event, but did not participate, and Taylor also did not attend the event. Halford and De Beaufort, as last-minute entries, ended up filling the slots at numbers 15 and 27.
